Hi All
Doing a rebuild on my 4jg2 1994 everything is out, Whats your thoughts on cast rings with a cast liner? I cant for the life of me find chrome rings for this motor.
Any help appriciated.

Factory is a chrome liner so you must use cast iron rings. There are aftermarket liners available in both cast iron and chrome. You must use the opposite metal to the liner for your rings. Chrome on chrome or cast on cast will wear out very quickly
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
