Leaking Diesel! sensor??? need help

Postby isuzilla » Mon May 17, 2021 12:32 pm

Hi guys,
1996 bighorn 3.1td dripping diesel from fuel pump. The oil is coming from the sensor type thing connected on outside of the pump and its connected with two hex nuts (luks like a flange shape).
What is this part ? Why is it leaking ? Can I repair it? Replace it? Where can I find it?

The photo is taken from bottom of the engine.

Talk to a diesel specialist. That part should be able to be replaced but the leak could be from a seal above there as well. Worst case is a pump rebuild but most of the seals can be done in place. Not home handyman stuff though
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
