fuel tank

Postby andrewward » Tue Aug 16, 2022 2:58 pm

Hi there, while filling my fuel tank with a diesel additive the plastic filler cap from the bottle got loose and fell into the tank, what shall I do ? the drain plug on the underside is to small for me to fish it out. Will it cause any harm by just leaving it in the tank ?

It might get caught by the outlet so might cause problems but I doubt it.
To get it out you will need to drain and remove the tank then remove the outlet/fuel gauge unit and reach in through that hole. It will be fun
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
