A/T oil Temp sensor

Postby Cristina » Tue Jan 19, 2021 9:38 pm

Hello sir/ma’am,
My vehicle is Bighorn 3.1, 4GJ2 intercooler turbo diesel, 4x4, automatic transmission.
The A/T Oil Temp light indicator appears when I start the engine. and it won’t shift to high gear, only 1st and 2nd gear. What will I do?
I added oil already still the same. The oil is pink and it doesn’t even smells burned. But one time it happens the light indicator turned off and it shifted normally it runs smoothly. But now the light indicator appears all the time...
what will I do? I ask the mechanic and electrician. No one knows what to do. I’m so frustrated already... :(

ATF temp light on says oil too hot but engine just started so oil must be cold
Trans not shifting to high gear. This would be normal if oil was cold but if the oil was hot it should stick in top gear according to the book.
I cant find the sensor in the book
This is a guess.
If you can find the sensor it might be worth changing but unfortunately I think its an ECU fault
Sanding your knuckles before starting work can help. That way you cant skin them
