Trip meter rests to 0

Postby Robbo54 » Fri May 27, 2022 8:06 am

Both the A & B trip meter reset to 0 when I turn the ignition off. I am heading to the outback & need the trip meter to continue to record the ongoing trip.

I have checked fuses and re-checked the "Select Mode" settings. then changed various options. Gone for a couple of drives. Both the A & B hold there values when turning the car off & remove the key and restart within a minute or 2. But when I recheck after about 10 minutes or more, all values in both A & B reset to zero. all other settings are good. Quite strange.

If it were me , while waiting to fix it, download gps odometer app on an old ph and leave it running.

I'd be checking live all the time fuses with key out.

it appears the keep alive memory is forgetful.

Kind regards

airlift airbags in rear springs running 5-25psi, so far worked a treat, no longer bottoms out with 5 people and gear and still doesn't rattle me one up and empty. Watch the us paddle switches as my first pair leak. I've air electric replacements yet to fit.

In answer to the question about, have I had anything done to the electrics - auto electrician fitted a dash cam.
