Isuzu Elf Terra 500 Camper. New tires and 4x4 in Maine

Postby bobbyswampfox » Tue Dec 07, 2021 9:04 am

Here is my Terra 500 camper I imported last year. I've been doing a lot of work since importing it, namely gutting it and fixing things as they come up. A lot of these Elf's have a split ring rim so I made a video explaining how I've put new tires on mine

Here is another fixing up and repacking the Aisin locking hubs and a 4x4 test here in Maine

Hope these will help if you have the same job!

Looks good! I imported a 1995 elf outback express and appreciate the post. Have you got any secrets on getting parts, specifically shocks and breaks?

NIce! I'm in touch with a few outback express owners. I replaced my rear struts with Rancho RS9000 XL shocks. We've had trouble finding front shocks in the states but anther owner imported some using http://jp-carparts.com/ they are based in Japan and ship DHL express and they come super fast. Unfortunately I couldn't find breaks either I had to import front rotors and pads from JP too. And they had a two week lead time before shipping so I feel like they manufactured them on order. I haven't had to mess with the rear drum breaks yet. The hardest parts to find seem to be related to wheels they are such a rear PCD bolt pattern. If you want to email me at Bobbyswampfox@gmail.com I can share all the part numbers we have and loop you into the group if you'd like?
