MU rear glass/boot opener

Postby Justsomedude » Mon Jan 15, 2018 3:35 pm

My MU doesn't seem to have a rear door glass opener anywhere and have to use the key every time - I swear my old MU (from 15 years ago) had one! Were they an optional extra or is mine just AWOL ? Hoping AWOL then it'll be easy to find and replace.

No button sadly, but there is an empty socket behind the blanking plate. Can't see any activator or wiring in rear door either aside from wires to the handle light

ah bugger, I hate having to turn the engine off to open the back ! Luckily it pops open by itself frequently enough so that helps

As far as I know the actual opener is electric so it should be possible to wire something in. Even the later ones would only open if the trans was in park
