manual or auto? How are you checking the 4wd activation?

try taking the rubber boot of the 4wd stick it might be stopping the stick from engaging properly

I have made a 2 inch body lift a year ago and fitted a 2 inch extension to the normal stick, but never used the 4wd stick until last week when we had floods everywhere and a lot of mud and debris in the street to navigate. I will do what you said and see how it goes, but there is a strange clicking noise when I drive with the 4wd H as well, thanks

I have removed the rubber booth, and the 4WD gear shifts properly now, but there is still a clicking noise coming from the hub lock when driving !

dont drive on hard surfaces in 4wd. Clicking might be a cv but might also be a free wheel which need taking apart and lubricating

I only use 4wd on dirt or soil, the cvs are ok, guess I need to take the hubs apart and check them out, if there are some damages are there any parts I can replace ? thanks

Biggest issue is dry grease or rust.

took them apart, it seems that the right hand side one had the spring broken took it to an engineering shop and he fixed it, it is working properly now. Now I found an other issue, there is an annoying noise coming from the rear, it's like a high frequency hum, it is also present when the gear is in neutral ,checked the wheel bearings and breaks, but it seems it is coming from the diff or shaft.
