Driveshaft Mu same as Rodeo?

Postby Knackebrod » Thu Jul 21, 2022 5:12 pm

Hi all!
Completely blew the cv joint (front right) on my '97 Mu Wizard today...
Mu's are pretty rare here in North America but the Isuzu Rodeo (gas version) is easier to find.
Is the drivetrain the same? In other words can I put a rodeo driveshaft in my mu?
Cheers!

Thanks for the quick reply!
If I can't find replacements in time can I just remove both driveshafts and drive it like that for a bit until new parts arrive?
Of course leaving it in RWD.

You should get away with only removing the broken one. One thought. Does yours have the vacuum operated diff and no freewheel hubs. If so it might be nessecsary to change out the entire diff cvs and freewheels from the pickup

I think it has freewheel hubs. Is there an easy way to check?

A second bulge on the left of the main diff is a vac operated diff Free wheel hubs have a dial in the center or auto written on them
