Nearly there with my snorkel, just put a temporary top on but I will mould one from fibreglass when I have some more time .
Also need to paint those screws in the roof but run out of black paint.
From airfilter through body approx 35 cm, one 90 degrees elbow, 90 cm to another 90 degrees elbow, then 30 cm rubber hose through narrow bit and than outside, 45 degrees up to roof approx 80cm, then 2 90 degrees. Arround the hole in the body I just sliced open a petrol hose and with a lot of glue glued this arround so it won't rust. On the roof bit just made a bracket and used 2 self tapping screws in the roof and on the pipe, it sits pretty solid.
Just in case somebody wants to know, pvc $21, paint $15, petrol hose $3.95 and rubber hose $ 15 = $55, better than A$395 as advertised on eBay, and I thinks looks better actually (blends in more as the eBay one is a big blob)...
Forgot to mention that the original antenna was too long so replaced this with an el-cheapo roof antenna which workes really well (actually better than the original one).
Starts to look good and she dooes have a bit more power at high speeds.
Also replaced the horrible carpet with some nice black stuff which I picked up from eBay, plugging heaps of little holes in the floor (dont know what they had installed in there). I actually placed some extra underaly under the carpet hoping this would insualte better and make the cabin a bit more sound proof, and maybe also waterproof lol.
Carpet:
On to the drawers and centre console hopefully tomorrow.
Does anybody know what the wires are for which are under the carpet?
There is one under every seat and a single one in the middle, they are not connected and I am thinking about using the middle one (which has power) for some extra sigarette lighter holes in the centre console. They should be allready fused I presume?
Advice???
